The idea that guided the design of the architecture of M345 was the irregular topography and the land’s immediate interaction with the nature that surrounds it, combined with the highlighted needs of our clients. The main intention was to create a monolith that the wooded environment could take over over the years. The residence was placed so that the three main levels could immediately dialogue with nature, and thus, views of the treetops, the forest, and the golf course were achieved on each level. Generating terraces and gardens on each of the levels, the nature of the surroundings is integrated into the social and private areas of the residence, managing to lose the fine lines that separate the interior from the exterior. In the structural design, horizontal planes were proposed, forming a slight balance between thin concrete walls and specific elements with steel columns. These elements help us achieve large clearings and prominent overhangs. The interior architecture continues the dialogue with the exterior and the environment. Only natural materials were used, such as wood, marble, the region’s enclosure, and glass, which, with its transparency, neutralizes and envelops the architecture in the environment.
